Testimonial: Parkinson Tremor Ultrasound Treatment (Turkey)
See in this short “before–after” video how tremor and rigidity in Parkinson’s disease can be stopped without surgery using MRI‑guided focused ultrasound. In our patient who came from Sakarya, right‑hand tremor and leg spasms were brought under control in a single session, without opening the skull, without general anesthesia and without blood loss.
For Parkinson’s patients whose tremor does not improve with medication, and who are afraid of deep brain stimulation (DBS) or open surgery, this video shows the real and immediate effect of focused ultrasound treatment in a simple way. You can clearly see the difference by watching side‑by‑side how the patient struggles to perform daily movements with tremor before, and then after treatment, with calm hands and an improved gait.
The treatment has specific indications and contraindications. Consultation with a neurologist or a neurosurgeon is required. The video is shared with the patient’s consent. Treatment results may vary from patient to patient.
Watch in this video how tremor and rigidity in Parkinson’s disease can be stopped in a single session with MRI‑guided focused ultrasound, and how the whole non‑invasive, incision‑free treatment process works. Our patient from Sakarya, Türkiye, describes step by step how, after 7 years of tremor and walking difficulties, the right‑hand tremor and leg spasms disappeared following an MRI‑guided focused ultrasound procedure at our center in Ufa, Russia.
Listen in her own words as patient explains the entire journey with Dr. Rezida and her team: from remote online assessment, travel and accommodation arrangements, to what happened on the treatment day and the results seen at the final check‑up. For Parkinson’s patients who do not benefit from medication, are afraid of traditional brain surgery, or are looking for an alternative to deep brain stimulation (DBS – brain pacemaker), this video provides a real patient experience of a new‑generation, incision‑free surgical option where the brain is not opened.

Where did I come from and how long had I been ill?
I came from Sakarya, Türkiye. My illness lasted for 7 years. It started with muscle cramps in my legs and difficulty walking. Then, within about 3 years, tremor developed in my hand. I took medication for the tremor, but I did not see any benefit. Later, with my husband’s support, after we heard about this place, we decided to come here. And now we have achieved a very good result. The tremor in my hand has stopped. The cramps in my leg have gone away. I feel perfectly healthy. I thank my doctor.
What was my tremor like, and how did I hear about this clinic?
The tremor was in my right hand, it was very severe, and now there is no tremor at all. I feel very well. In Türkiye, there was an advertisement about this hospital, presenting it as a treatment option for Parkinson’s disease. My husband saw it and wanted to get in touch. The contact person’s name was Mr. Ramazan. We spoke with Mr. Ramazan, and with his help we made an appointment with the doctor and had an initial remote consultation by phone.
How was my first remote preclinical assessment with Dr. Rezida and my journey to Russia?
During the preclinical assessment, Dr. Rezida evaluated how I moved, the degree of tremor in my hand. She said that once I came to the hospital, I could be treated. Based on that, we decided to come here. I came to Russia together with my son. As soon as we landed at the airport, because we were foreigners and did not speak Russian, Mr. Haydar helped us.
How were our accommodation and hospital process organized?
He brought us to the hospital. All our accommodation arrangements had already been prepared in advance by Dr. Rezida. We had no difficulties at all. The hotel we stayed in was very nice. Everything was excellent. A hospital date was set. After we got the appointment, we came. On the first day, all the pre‑treatment tests were done. The procedure was performed on the second day. The second day went very smoothly. It was much more comfortable than I had expected. At first I was scared and stressed, but then I saw that there was nothing to be afraid of. In the end, they carefully stopped the tremor in my hand. I am really very grateful to Dr. Rezida and wish her continued success. I hope I can also be helpful to other people.
How was the preparation before treatment – hair shaving and the head frame?
On the second day, before the treatment, my hair had to be shaved – that was the first step of the procedure. After my hair was cut, the nurses put on the cold water head frame needed for the treatment. They also attached something else, but I don’t know exactly what it was. Then they took me in for the procedure like that. I entered the machine very comfortably. During the checks, my assistant and interpreter, Mr. Dündar, was with me…
Who was with me during the procedure, and how did the doctors work?
Mr. Haydar, who was helping us, was with me, and my son was also by my side. I entered the MRI machine without feeling any fear or discomfort, and the procedure was done there. All the doctors worked together as a team. From time to time they took me out to make me comfortable, checked me to see whether there was still tremor in my hand, then put me back in again. They worked quite a lot until they found the correct spot. When they saw that things were getting better, they tested one last time. They did not stop until they were absolutely sure that my condition had calmed down and that the tremor in my hand had stopped.
What was the result of the operation, and what changed in my body?
The cramps in my leg disappeared as well, and the procedure was completed very successfully. I really want to express my gratitude to my doctor and the entire team. Thank you very much. While I was ill and my hand was shaking, my posture was very poor. When I walked, my shoulders leaned forward and I was more bent. As my arm was shaking, it would tense up while walking – it stayed stiff and upright and did not move naturally. And in the end…
How do I walk and move now – what about my posture and daily activities?
Now it feels as if there is a wall behind me – I stand straight and upright. After the tremor in my hand disappeared, it became much easier to move my hand. I feel more comfortable. At the moment I can do the same movements that healthy people do in daily life. I don’t feel any lack or handicap. After treating the patient, our doctor, Dr. Rezida, never just leaves you. She keeps doing follow‑up checks. Even if you are far away – and I really am far away – she still monitors how the patient is doing, whether things are going well and improving. She always stands behind the procedures she performs.
What medications am I using now, and how does the follow‑up give me confidence?
Although I could have been prescribed many medications, they only recommended one medicine for me, to support and complete the dopamine level. I will use that, and they will continue to monitor me regularly. I am very satisfied. This follow‑up gives me additional confidence. I entrusted myself to my doctor with full trust, and the results are excellent. I hope to continue like this. While I was ill, I tried many different treatment methods, but because they were more like trials, there was never any real change in my hand. My emotional state was very disturbed and unstable. Even though I am normally a calm person, I could suddenly become aggressive.
How was my emotional state before and after treatment?
I came here truly believing that my hand would get better, and indeed I was suffering a lot from the tremor. It would start to shake when I became nervous, when I got excited, and there were involuntary movements coming from my brain. When I saw that these movements had finally stopped – especially that the tremor in my hand was gone – I was very happy. Then, when my walking and my leg movements returned to how they used to be, that made me even happier. I can say that my “state of mind” has also come back to normal. I feel much calmer and more settled instead of being nervous. I am really very happy now.
Who am I, and how did I experience my mother’s illness?
My name is Ebu Bekir Şahin, I am the patient’s son, and I accompanied my mother here. My mother had tremor for about 7 years, affecting the right side of her body – her right hand and right leg. Along with this, there was stiffness – she used to complain of muscle tightness and rigidity. In Türkiye, in our country, we looked for many treatment options. But we were always directed toward medication‑based treatment. We did not receive any positive results from these drugs.
How did we first hear about this treatment and Dr. Rezida?
One day, by chance, I saw a promotional video on a social media platform about the procedure performed by Dr. Rezida. After watching this video, we contacted the gentleman in Türkiye who had shared it. Through him, we reached out to Dr. Rezida in Ufa, Russia. Before coming, she examined my mother by online teleconference, and after this examination she said that she could eliminate this tremor and stiffness. We believed and trusted her. We quickly completed the visa procedures, bought our tickets, and came here on the date the hospital gave us for treatment.
How were we welcomed at the clinic, and how did the operation go?
We were welcomed very warmly and were placed in a very nice, high‑quality hotel. Transfers between the hotel and the clinic were arranged very comfortably. The process started here: on the first day, all the tests and examinations were done. On the second day, the treatment procedure was carried out over about 3–4 hours. Today is the third day, and my mother is able to continue her normal life. There is no deficiency, no impairment at all. She says she feels as if she has been reborn. There is no tremor, no stiffness. She is very happy and very satisfied that she came. She says that when she returns to Türkiye, she will definitely recommend this treatment to everyone. We are very pleased and very grateful for all the care and attention.
How did the staff treat us, and do we recommend this treatment to others?
The attitude of the staff here, and the personal attention of our doctor, Dr. Rezida, are truly exceptional. They treated us in a very humanistic way and gave great value to us as people. My mother wears a headscarf and has religious modesty requirements; they were extremely respectful of this. In situations where a male staff member had to enter, they would put up a screen or a curtain. We were very pleased. We definitely recommend this treatment to everyone who is suffering from this disease. There is no need to endure this problem for nothing or to be exposed to additional side effects from unnecessary medications. If they want to access this opportunity as soon as possible, they should come here and find their cure. We are very grateful.
